The portrait reflects human’s longing to show his significance in this life, and to force his offspringto remember him when he leaves. Through my new paintings, I have tried to travel beyond realtime. My target was not only to keep their figure known but to re-immortalize them, as if they wereposing for me, sitting in armchairs that would fit for them.
